“Focus on the truth and you will capture life.”

Born in England to a British RAF pilot mother and an Argentine revolutionary diplomat father, Dianna Oliva-Day grew up amid freedom fighters. She graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BA in Drama, Sociology, and History of Art, while her family helped negotiate Apartheid’s end, facilitating conversations between the South African Government and Nelson Mandela on Robben Island. In London, she worked at Christie’s; in Rome, she joined Twentieth Century Fox, shaping high-impact international film and advertising campaigns. She later teamed with director Edi Flehner in Buenos Aires on several award-winning international commercials. A digital media pioneer, Dianna joined Stargate Films and co-founded Stargate Digital as a partner, opening state-of-the-art studios in Los Angeles, Vancouver, and London. The company earned Emmy wins and numerous Emmy nominations —along with other industry awards—for its groundbreaking photographic images and visual effects on major television series including Stephen King’s The Dead Zone, Crossing Jordan, ER, Las Vegas, Monk, The Twilight Zone, and the hit CSI. Tasked by Mayor Hahn, she created and directed a global image ad campaign for Los Angeles, rallying entertainment innovators to showcase a bold, artistic, productive, multi-racial, and profoundly welcoming city. Since then, she has collaborated with media ventures like Flehner Films and Radio 70s. Currently, she is crafting a multimedia exhibit documenting George Orwell’s writings, integrating four artistic disciplines: Literature, Photography, Theatre, and Symphonic Rock. Dianna lives with her family and her Labrador, Hendrix, on California’s Golden Coast.
